The Castellani Family have been making wine in the Tuscan hills for the last 100 years and currently the 3rd generation are at the helm. The philosophy is simple, concentrate on the vineyards and the wines will look after themsleves - well along with a bit of winemaking know how. Their innovative spirit is not just restricted to the vineyards and they have been pioneers in recent years of cultural iniatives in the region with among the more unusual projects being their "music to drink wine by" CD. They also have commissioned local sculpters to express what wine means to them in various installations around Tuscany. If they pay this much attention to their local environment, imagine what their wines are like?!
