Chateau Desclau sits on the right hand bank of the Garonne, one of Bordeauxs two major rivers and responsible for the early morning fog which cloaks the region for much of the year. The Chateaux has a wide selection of the Bordeaux varietals and this wine is a blend of all 5 legal varietals; Merlot, Cabernet Sauvingnon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Dom Perignon is perhaps the worlds most famous monk, certainly up there with the likes of Friar Tuck.
