The Ninepin

A ninepin was tired of being knocked down. 'Surely I must be the lowest of the low. All I'm for is to be knocked down. I want a position of power! Of influence!'. That night he dreamt of business meetings, and marketing, and dealings with accountants. When he awoke, behold! He had transformed. He had a handle, like the coffee mugs in meetings, and striking symbols to advertise his adverts, and money marks, and so much more. 'At last I am ready to mingle with the magnates of the world!'. He was then given to a charity shop as he was no longer of any use to the bowling alley, and after two years at the back of a shelf he was bought by a student and turned into a bong.

Moral:

Ambitions will immediately transform you into something strange and unnamable.
